1. Who we are

Anchor Renovations is a home renovation contractor operating in Toronto & the Greater Toronto Area. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@anchorrenovations.ca or (416) 555-0123.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you complete our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service you selected, anything you write in the message field, and any photographs you choose to upload.

Information collected automatically. Our web host records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, financial details, government identification numbers or health information through this website.

3. Why we collect it

We use your contact details and project description to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a site visit and carry out work you engage us for.

We use photographs you upload solely to understand and price the work. We will not publish a photograph of your home anywhere — website, social media or advertising — unless you give us separate, explicit permission.

We use server logs to keep the site secure and working.

4. Consent

By submitting the contact form you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us, and we will stop using your information and delete it, unless we are required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever.

We share it only with service providers who help us operate: our website host, the form provider that delivers your enquiry to our inbox, and our email provider. These providers process your information on our instructions.

We may disclose information where we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid court order.

Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, which means it can be subject to the laws of the country where it is held.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not become projects for up to two years, in case you come back to us.

Where we carry out work for you, we keep project records — including quotes, contracts and correspondence — for seven years, to meet tax, warranty and limitation-period obligations.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless the law requires us to retain it.

7. Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and enquiries are transmitted over encrypted channels. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to quote and run your job.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google may log your IP address as part of serving that request.

If we add analytics in future we will update this policy and say so here before we do.

9. Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete it, and withdraw your consent to us using it.

Email hello@anchorrenovations.ca and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10. Children

This website is intended for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
